一位21歲的粉絲Lisette Buckle表示，在場館外等候時自己就擔心歌迷可能會在推搡中受傷。
維州醫療救護機構（Ambulance Victoria）證實，晚上7點20分左右曾接到Join Cain Arena體育館外發生事故的電話，但由於沒有嚴重受傷的報告，救援電話被取消了。
不少民眾在社交媒體上抱怨此次活動的策劃和安全性很差。一位粉絲的家長在推特上寫道：「門一開，一大群男男女女的暴徒就沖了進來」，「但保安卻沒採取任何行動。」
也有人表示這場音樂會是自己「參加過組織得最差的活動」，「甚至不像一場音樂會」，「像是一場恐慌的爆發」。
20歲的歌迷Georgia Martin表示，她對演唱會主辦方Frontier Touring和墨爾本奧林匹克公園對演唱會的處理感到失望。
她說：「管理層低估了活動的需求」，「對於定期舉辦此類活動的體育館來說，做得不夠好。」
針對周二晚上發生的事件，John Cain Arena體育館經理、墨爾本奧林匹克公園和演唱會主辦方Frontier Touring在周三下午發表了聯合聲明。
「我們的場館管理團隊對入場環節的管理制定了詳細計劃」， 「不幸的是，門一打開，隊列後面的一些觀眾就會向前推擠，在入口附近造成了擁擠。」
聯合聲明中表示「沒有與擁擠相關的傷害報告」，並補充聲明「墨爾本奧林匹克公園將審查我們的入場程序，以確保我們持續履行承諾，為所有活動參加者提供安全和愉快的一次體驗。」
