聖誕節前，在塔斯馬尼亞首府霍巴特郊區一個小型機場裡，見到了這次去西南公園的兩個嚮導，彼得和馬克。還有兩個同團的一對夫婦—泰莎和安德魯。我們家那位吳二拒絕疫苗接種，被塔省拒絕入內。
因為天氣原因，原定的三天兩夜的行程被接連取消了兩次，到了第三天，可以成行了，又改成了兩天。旅客只剩下了三位，嚮導還是配置兩位。太奢侈了，等於參加了一個量身訂製的私人團。
輕型飛機把我們送到了Malalueca。彼得問我旅遊的偏好，我對此地一無所知，就說讓他們看着辦好了。兩位嚮導點頭微笑，彼得說，泰莎和安德魯是重返舊地，你又隨和，我們這次的任務輕鬆了。
一行五人隨意的走在草甸上木質的小路上，先在土著人留下痕跡的地方轉了一小圈。其實就是一個草窩棚和幾塊牌子。向土著人致敬，是澳洲各行各業都在秉持的傳統。泰莎夫婦上次看過，這會兒還是饒有興致的跟着，不加評論。這要是換了我們同胞，準會告訴後來者；沒看頭，別在這裡浪費時間。
進了一個小博物館，是紀念Deny King的，一個唯一在西南部定居，開發錫礦的人。他在九一年去世，後人也都離開了這裡。後來，我們還去了他的故居，看到了他的作坊和花園。
博物館的房子裡有一扇大窗，面對着一個台子，上面的食物和水是為橙腹鸚鵡準備的。橙腹鸚鵡是當地獨有，瀕臨滅絕，所以被保護和扶植。但鳥畢竟是自由的，我們當天下午一個也沒看到來覓食的鸚鵡。第二天，馬克特意帶我們去了另一個投食站，看到了不少。彼得才鬆了一口氣，像是放下了一個擔子。
第一天下午的活動不多，馬克早早就用小艇把我們送到了宿營地。宿營地在長着一片樹林的山坡上，帳篷是固定的，大約有五六個的樣子，滿員也只能有十二名遊客。
幾人扔下行李，聚到帳篷廚房裡。透過兩面長窗，滿眼都是林子裡的綠色。大家自我介紹了一下，然後會心的笑了起來：彼得和馬克原來都是教師，彼得還當過十一年的小學校長，後來改了行當導遊。泰莎和安德魯是塔斯馬尼亞大學地質系的講師，對於植物和動物也很熟知。我原來在國內是教師，現在也算。五個人，都是教師出身，全在六十歲上下，真是奇妙的組合。
本來我很少參加單位的聚會，覺得話題難找。在旅途中，我卻非常喜歡跟各國的旅遊者一起吃飯，共同的愛好，不同的經歷，聊起來很長見識。
馬克和泰莎聊起了他們最近做的一個項目，談到保護和發現當地鳥類的不易。我也在回憶着在墨爾本亞拉河畔找鳥窩的經歷。彼得忽然問了我一句：你喜歡綿羊嗎？我遲疑了一下，回答不是太喜歡。彼得的臉色變了，鎮定了一下說，要不就做個蔬菜湯吧。我意識到是會錯了意，趕緊解釋說給綿羊拍照不是我的愛好。大家哄堂大笑，直到那一盤香噴噴的烤羊腿端上飯桌，笑聲還沒止住。馬克也說要把這個誤會當成經典笑話，給後來的旅遊者當佐餐調料。
吃着聊着，結束晚餐時天已黑了下來。安德魯剛一出門就給我們示意，順着他指的方向看去，原來是一隻蜷尾負鼠在枝頭活動，小小的身軀摩擦着樹葉，發出窸窣的聲音。饒有興致的看了一會兒，就回到了屬於我一個人的帳篷。
帳篷里的彈簧床上，雪白的床單里裹着兩層羽絨被子。旁邊的小桌上，馬燈，驅蚊器，手電筒樣樣俱全。又想起剛才那美味的晚餐，感覺和窗外的荒野不太搭調，甚至有了一點負疚感。畢竟來前是做好了吃點苦頭的思想準備的。可當我鑽進了那柔軟暖和的被窩裡後，還是愜意的很快進入了夢鄉。
日出之前，我下到了山腳處的一個小沙灘。幾隻黑天鵝驚起飛走，消失在對面山坡里的暗影中。天空中的雲彩縫隙中露出了淺紫淺粉的條紋，這是朝霞。僅僅幾分鐘，霞光退去。初生的陽光開始射向遠處的山峰。漸漸的，從山頂到山腰，暗綠的叢林，及水中整個山坡的倒影，都成了暖洋洋的橘色，只有山前停泊的一艘帆船在反着白光，給這靜謐的畫面添上一筆亮色。
泰莎昨晚告訴我，他們上次來時有了很好的日出照片，今天不會早起。這場輝煌的，山做背景，水當餐檯的日出盛宴，只有我一個人獨享。很想伸開雙臂，擁抱一下那橘色的溫暖，或者喊上幾嗓，試試有無空谷回音。最終，除了按動快門，我沒做任何誇張的動作，過分喧鬧的表情達意不應屬於這裡。
回到廚房，彼得早已準備好了早餐。七點鐘，馬克把小艇駛出了淺水區。彼得說，每次都不能按時出發，總有一兩個磨磨蹭蹭的，今天是個例外。我也有點感慨，就這麼三人，他倆還是一點沒含糊，起了個大早，真是敬業。
寬闊的湖面上，水波不興，只有我們這一支船在行進着。忽然，遠處傳來水鳥翅膀扇動的聲音，一隊隊的水鳥從水面上飛起。馬克說是船驚動了天鵝島上的居民。隔得很遠，那平直的長脖子，翅膀向上時露出的白色長羽，整齊的隊形，我們都能看得出，這只能是高貴典雅的黑天鵝。
小船駛進了一條支流，馬克關掉馬達，手動掌舵讓船緩緩前行。陽光在雲峰里時隱時現，一絲風都沒有，連通常拿來以動襯靜的水鳥，也一隻也不見了蹤影。仿佛誰在這裡按下了消聲鍵，我們幾人也集體緘默，只讓眼睛和手指繼續工作。
狹窄的水流清澈黑亮，構成了一面高保真的天空之鏡。水邊隨意生長的雜草矮樹，看起來平淡無奇。一簇簇的對着鏡子梳妝打扮後，找到了另外一個自信的自己。現在，它們成雙結對的，不分虛實和你我，像蝴蝶翅膀一樣，對稱，美麗，空靈。橫看豎看，都堪比博物館裡收藏的精品畫作。來到實地觀看，我們在「眾木懸植，群山倒峙」的影像中，品出了「魚在山中泳，花在天上開」的有趣況味。
面對寧靜美景的體驗，這應該是我旅遊歷程中可以稱最的一次。博茨瓦納的奧卡萬卡三角洲，也是水域船行，景色很美。可是寧靜很短暫，其他的遊船也在穿梭來往。阿拉斯加的冰川灣，靜謐的冰川氣勢奪人，卻只能伴隨着甲板上的人聲鼎沸來欣賞。在這西南之角，整整大半天，從巴斯豪斯港到戴維港，十二公里狹長的水域裡，只有我們一支船在遊蕩，面對着萬年的山水和無邊的寂靜。
船向戴維灣入海口駛去，那裡是我們今天要看的最後一個景點—斷海礁（BreakSea）。途中，我們談起了這兒的天氣。彼得的兒子是直升機救援隊員，前天剛成功救出了一個因天氣而受困的徒步者。我們還上岸看了一個猶太徒步者的墳墓，因為不熟悉這裡的天氣和地理環境，長眠在這片山坡上。這裡天氣變化多端，風和日麗的日子難得，唯有抓緊機會，盡情的體驗。
在上篇的介紹中，俯瞰的Breaksea，像一條鑲嵌在深藍絨布上閃光的項鍊。乘小船近看，它有着許多動人的細節美：礁石的形狀多樣且生動，色彩斑瀾又亮麗，石壁上的紋路線條細緻流暢，頂上的植被也保持着鮮嫩的綠色。一反礁石黑黢黢的刻板形象，如果海礁也有個性，那Breaksea是樂觀的，活潑的。喜怒無常的天氣，沒能摧毀它可愛的，充滿生氣的容貌。有的石頭的形狀，甚至讓我想起了陸地動物—可愛的斑點梅花鹿。
水的顏色在空中看藍的發黑，貼近水面看，仍有許多地方呈葡萄酒色。彼得說，這裡上層是淡水，地下深處是海水。那也就解釋了為什麼在靠近大洋的地方，我們仍然能看到含着單寧的瓊漿。海河以這種方式交接，互換陣地，大自然的有序運轉，Amazing！
安德魯和泰莎一路上，看到一塊石頭，便能準確說出年輪，看到每一株小草，都能叫出名字。顯示出了紮實的專業素養。在Breaksea這裡，卻保持了沉默。不知道是因為第二次到來失掉了新鮮感，還是他倆個性所致。船上只有我一個人在大呼小叫，不斷拋出自己能想到的形容詞。彼得和馬克頷首微笑，像是聽到別人夸自己的孩子一樣。
不知道自己下次再來到這裡，會不會也喪失新鮮感而不再激動，我只知道，這次疫情中的旅行，雖然遇到了許多的阻礙和不順。可所有的堅持和等待，在這次短短的旅途中幾次屏住呼吸的瞬間，都超值的獲得了回報。
