一項新民調顯示，在新州法勒（Farrer）選區的第一偏好票（primary preference vote）中，一國黨目前領先。

法勒選區在今年2月出現空缺，原因是自由黨前領袖萊伊（Sussan Ley）宣布退出政壇。

這使得該眾議院席位出現四方競爭，包括：一國黨、國家黨、自由黨、獨立候選人米爾索普（Michelle Milthorpe）。

自由黨目前尚未宣布其候選人。

澳大利亞研究所（The Australia Institute）在法勒選區3月5日宣布補選後對1170名選民進行調查。受訪者被問及：如果當天舉行選舉，會把誰列為第一位。

結果顯示：

一國黨：28.6%
米爾索普：23.3%
自由黨：19.1%
工黨：9%
未決定：8.6%
綠黨：3.9%
其他政黨或候選人：2.3%

一國黨在幾乎所有年齡層（18–34歲、35–50歲、51–65歲）的首選票中都領先；但在65歲以上選民中，僅以0.4%的微弱優勢領先米爾索普。

在其餘 71.4%沒有把一國黨列為首選的選民中，64.1%表示完全不會考慮投票給一國黨；10.7%表示仍未確定。
