一项新民调显示，在新州法勒（Farrer）选区的第一偏好票（primary preference vote）中，一国党目前领先。
法勒选区在今年2月出现空缺，原因是自由党前领袖莱伊（Sussan Ley）宣布退出政坛。
这使得该众议院席位出现四方竞争，包括：一国党、国家党、自由党、独立候选人米尔索普（Michelle Milthorpe）。
自由党目前尚未宣布其候选人。
澳大利亚研究所（The Australia Institute）在法勒选区3月5日宣布补选后对1170名选民进行调查。受访者被问及：如果当天举行选举，会把谁列为第一位。
结果显示：
一国党：28.6%
米尔索普：23.3%
自由党：19.1%
工党：9%
未决定：8.6%
绿党：3.9%
其他政党或候选人：2.3%
一国党在几乎所有年龄层（18–34岁、35–50岁、51–65岁）的首选票中都领先；但在65岁以上选民中，仅以0.4%的微弱优势领先米尔索普。
在其余 71.4%没有把一国党列为首选的选民中，64.1%表示完全不会考虑投票给一国党；10.7%表示仍未确定。
