巴西總統大選進入白熱化。前總統博索納羅之子、參議員弗拉維奧・博索納羅（Flávio Bolsonaro）在10月4日第一輪投票中領先現任總統盧拉（Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva）。由於兩人均未獲得過半選票，將於10月25日進入第二輪決選。
巴西最高選舉法院（TSE）公布的結果顯示，弗拉維奧獲得約47%的選票，盧拉約45%，雙方差距不到兩個百分點。
據路透社報導，現年44歲的弗拉維奧是前總統雅伊爾・博索納羅（Jair Bolsonaro）的長子，目前擔任里約熱內盧州聯邦參議員。他繼承父親的保守派政治路線。由於老博索納羅無法參選，弗拉維奧成為其政治陣營此次總統選舉的主要候選人。
現任總統盧拉則尋求連任。他曾於2003年至2010年擔任總統，並於2023年重返總統府，其左翼政府強調社會福利和提高低收入群體收入。
巴西是拉丁美洲最大經濟體。盧拉政府與美國川普政府在部分貿易和外交議題上存在分歧，而博索納羅家族與川普陣營關係較為密切。未來三周，爭取第一輪未支持兩人的選民將成為雙方決勝關鍵。第二輪投票定於10月25日舉行，由於巴西採用電子投票系統，初步結果預計將在投票結束後數小時內陸續公布，最終結果由巴西最高選舉法院確認。
The son of Brazilian former president Jair Bolsonaro has defied predictions to win the first round of the presidential election by beating 80-year-old, left-wing incumbent Lula da Silva.
Flavio Bolsonaro will have to wait until a second round of voting later this month, but he is a strong favourite to win as other right-wing candidates have dropped out. He has promised to free his father from house arrest after he was jailed for 27 years for his part in a coup nearly four years ago.
