法新社報導，《阿凡達：水之道》（Avatar: The Way of Water）北美累積票房達亮眼的5.7億美元，國際總票房來到13.3億美元。
據票房統計網站boxofficemojo1月15日發布的電影市場數據，29部影片北美周末票房（1月13日至15日）約得9818萬美元，環比下跌約7%；馬丁·路德·金紀念日長周末（1月13日至16日）24部影片北美票房預計進賬約1.19億美元。
美國「綜藝」周刊（Variety）報導，2009年的《阿凡達》（Avatar）上映後創下影史票房第一紀錄，如今續集片《阿凡達：水之道》有可能成為自COVID-19（2019冠狀病毒疾病）疫情爆發以來，第1部全球賣座達20億美元的強片。
馬丁·路德·金紀念日紀念日4天長周末期間，排名第2的是恐怖玩偶驚悚片《窒友梅根》（M3GAN），估計收入2120萬美元。
