隨着內政部較早前宣布調整2022-23財年的移民名額，由前政府設定的160,000個名額增加到195,000個名額，內政部最近公布了具體的移民名額分配。
2022-23財年移民計劃 （Migration Program）
2022-23 財年的195,000名額里將把其中的142,400名額分配於技術類別，另外 52,500名額分配於家庭類別。以下是技術類別和家庭類別兩個財年的名額對照表：
技術類別優先
政府考慮到在持續的低失業率和緊張的勞動力市場條件下，澳大利亞需要來自海外技術工人的注入才能緩解一些重要的技能短缺。所以技術類別審理將優先考慮澳大利亞境外申請。此外，獨立技術移民的名額也由上財年的6,500名額增加至32,100名額。
父母簽證名額增加
從2022-23財年起，伴侶簽證將根據需求發放並且不設定名額上限，這將幫助減少伴侶簽證的審理時間和累積案件。移民局預計在2022-23財年裡將會批准40,500個伴侶簽證。
另一個好消息是父母簽證在2022-23財年裡的名額將由2021-22財年的4,500名額增加至8,500個名額。這將緩解目前父母簽證申請累積和審理緩慢問題，增加名額將允許更多的父母來到澳大利亞，並有可能協助提供育兒或其他家庭責任，鼓勵年輕技術工人及其配偶更多地參與勞動力。
