黄英贤拒见新疆代表 工党政府被质疑向北京低头

澳洲外交部长黄英贤拒绝在堪培拉会见知名的新疆人权倡导者，引发了工党政府怕得罪北京而在人权问题上立场软化的担忧。联盟党加大了对政府呼吁的力度，要求对在新疆侵犯人权的中国官员进行实质的制裁。 

据ABC报道，世界维吾尔代表大会的高级代表和两位新疆拘留营的幸存者来到澳大利亚，要求联邦政府正式承认维吾尔人是种族灭绝的受害者，并加大对中国政府施压。 

世界维吾尔代表大会主席Dolkun Isa说，他感谢澳大利亚在国际组织中所做的反对中共侵犯新疆人人权的工作，但澳大利亚还没有对那些实施酷刑和镇压的官员采取任何实质措施。 

Isa还表示，他非常担心澳大利亚此时正在试图与北京重建关系，因而会软化在这个问题上的立场。”澳大利亚议会仍然对此保持沉默，不承认这是种族灭绝，””我们今天来到这里，强烈要求议会承认对维吾尔族的种族灭绝。”

新疆活动人士在堪培拉告诉记者，他们已经与反对党领袖Peter Dutton和影子外交部长Simon Birmingham会面，但黄英贤的办公室拒绝安排他们与外交部长见面。 

Isa表示，澳洲政府对这次会面的犹豫不决，是因为最近总理阿尔巴尼斯和中国国家主席习近平会晤后，与北京的关系 “处于微妙状态”。 

反对党批评政府只说不做

Birmingham对黄英贤的决定表示了不满， “令人失望的是，外交部长拒绝与世界维吾尔代表大会会面，面对面听取他们的故事”。 

“反对党利用这个机会与他们见了面，并直接听取了被关押的新疆人令人震惊和骇人听闻的经历，这令人警醒。” 

“他们是成千上万活生生的人，他们经历了联合国人权办公室今年早些时候发布的新疆报告中所叙述的系统性的侵犯人权行为和反人类罪行。” 

反对党在该报告发布后曾写信给政府，表示两党都支持对中国官员进行有针对性的制裁。Birmingham参议员说，反对党仍未得到答复。“阿尔巴尼斯政府一次又一次地口头谴责，但与大多数志同道合的国家不同，在新疆问题上的行动在哪里？ 

“在选举前，工党就实施马格尼茨基式制裁大谈特谈，他们现在也得到了两党的支持，那么为什么不采取行动呢？”Birmingham质问道。 

黄英贤的发言人为其辩护说，黄已经要求办公室的一名代表以及外交贸易部的 “高级官员 “与新疆代表团会面。“黄参议员之前已经见过代表团中的一些澳大利亚代表，她期待着下次有机会听取澳大利亚维吾尔族人的意见。”
