疫情爆发两年多来，中国领导人习近平从未离开过大陆，上周为了香港主权移交中国25周年访港，全程小心翼翼，除演讲外，一直戴著N95口罩，不与人握手，与人保持距离，却没料到与他一起合影的香港民建联立法会议员何俊贤确诊了。
何俊贤周日（3日）在FB发文表示，他7月2日证实确诊，已通报政府相关部门，并根据“隔离令”自我隔离，身体状况尚可。他说，他6月30日的样本为阴性，7月1日是极低传染性的低病毒样本，定性为不确定，但为保公众安全，他没有参与7月1日的活动。
但值得注意的是，6月30日是习近平访港首日，当天他会见了主要官员、行会成员和政商界人士，而港府新闻处的图片资料显示，何俊贤在合影时就站在习近平正后方的后排位置。
习近平上周不过夜访港两天，是他在疫情爆发两年多来首次离开中国大陆。为了确保活动顺利进行，港府要求出席七一活动的官员、立法会议员及媒体人员，每天皆须核酸检测，并在活动前入住隔离酒店。
在何俊贤证实确诊之前，香港的中国全国人大常委谭耀宗也于6月30日确诊，不过他缺席了所有的七一相关活动。
