美國新任白宮新聞秘書凱蒂・扎卡里亞（Katie Zacharia）履職僅五天，接連陷入爭議，在川普建議下，宣布離開崗位，創下現代白宮新聞秘書任期最短的紀錄。
現年41歲的扎卡里亞是四個孩子的母親，曾任川普媒體公司的通訊顧問，也曾短暫擔任國土安全部發言人，並經常在保守派電視節目中露面。
川普10月9日宣布任命她，接替卡羅琳・萊維特（Karoline Leavitt）。她12日正式開始工作，次日上午便走上白宮新聞發布台。
但圍繞扎卡里亞法律背景卻引發爭議。她此前曾稱自己從事律師工作，川普宣布任命時也稱她為律師。
輿論發現，扎卡里亞並沒有通過律師資格考試。
扎卡里亞解釋，自己從佩珀代因大學法學院畢業和結婚是在同一周，當時正準備搬往中國，與在北京從事私募股權工作的丈夫團聚。
路透社指出，法學學位不等於律師執業資格。法學院畢業生仍須取得州律師執業資格，才能在美國合法執業。爭議的核心，她過去為何以律師身份介紹自己。
10月17日，白宮確認扎卡里亞已經離職。
