自去年年底开始的执法行动发现，昆州出租车和共享汽车司机有多起拒打表计算短途车费和多收费行为，已被处以600多张罚单。
昆州交通厅长Mark Bailey告诉ABC电台，执法突击行动从去年12月开始，主要集中在12月31日前后在布里斯本和黄金海岸预订或乘坐的车。当局共截获2,056辆出租车、豪华轿车和网约车。
Bailey回应了去年11月初关于出租车和共享汽车司机在高峰期不使用计价器或APP且索要高额车费的报导，并承诺将打击这种非法行为。
他说，大多数司机都没有违法，但也有一些司机犯错 —— 不收短程车费、多收费、不打表。
Bailey表示，交通检查员七天24小时轮班工作，有时穿便衣，有时穿制服，自2022年12月初至今昆州共录得613起违法行为，罚款总额约14.6万澳元。其中对违规出租车司机开出80张罚单，对违规共享汽车司机开出524张罚单。豪华轿车和私人注册车辆占剩余部分。
1月14日，黄金海岸成为违规频发区，因为Magic Millions比赛引来许多游客。
从去年12月2日到今年1月15日，当局已对黄金海岸出租车或共享汽车31种不同的违法行为罚款，金额不等，最低575澳元。
