随着西悉尼国际机场（Western Sydney International Airport，WSI）开幕日期临近，往返西悉尼（Western Sydney）与纽西兰的首批航班机票已正式开售。
纽西兰航空（Air New Zealand）成为最新宣布进驻南希－伯德•沃尔顿机场（Nancy-Bird Walton Airport）的航空公司，将于10月26日开始营运，连接西悉尼与奥克兰（Auckland）。
每周将提供三班航班，分别于星期一、星期三及星期五营运。
航班将于早上6点05分自奥克兰起飞，于7点50分抵达西悉尼国际机场；随后于上午9点从WSI起飞，于下午2点15分抵达奥克兰。
据《堪培拉时报》报导，纽西兰航空将使用其窄体客机执飞该航线，包括配置241个经济舱座位的A320，以及配置165个经济舱座位的A320机型。
西悉尼国际机场将成为悉尼首个24小时运营的机场。现有的金斯福德•史密斯机场（Kingsford Smith Airport）每晚11点至早上6点实施宵禁。
