隨著西悉尼國際機場（Western Sydney International Airport，WSI）開幕日期臨近，往返西悉尼（Western Sydney）與紐西蘭的首批航班機票已正式開售。
紐西蘭航空（Air New Zealand）成為最新宣布進駐南希－伯德•沃爾頓機場（Nancy-Bird Walton Airport）的航空公司，將於10月26日開始營運，連接西悉尼與奧克蘭（Auckland）。
每周將提供三班航班，分別於星期一、星期三及星期五營運。
航班將於早上6點05分自奧克蘭起飛，於7點50分抵達西悉尼國際機場；隨後於上午9點從WSI起飛，於下午2點15分抵達奧克蘭。
據《堪培拉時報》報導，紐西蘭航空將使用其窄體客機執飛該航線，包括配置241個經濟艙座位的A320，以及配置165個經濟艙座位的A320機型。
西悉尼國際機場將成為悉尼首個24小時運營的機場。現有的金斯福德•史密斯機場（Kingsford Smith Airport）每晚11點至早上6點實施宵禁。
