今年8月底，Sherk从北京出发，先坐火车抵达成都，再从成都飞抵哈萨克阿拉木图市，之后穿越阿塞拜疆、沙特阿拉伯、伊朗、阿联酋等中亚十国，最终抵达卡塔尔。
在这三个月的旅途中，Sherk通过徒步、骑行、搭机、搭车……，终于抵达目的地，其总行程超过10000公里。Sherk将这场旅程称为朝圣，他说:“我不想做一个看客，我认为自己心目中的朝圣之旅可以真正融入到世界杯中。”

Sherk表示，每到一个国家，自己都会体验当地的足球文化。他说：“我会去观看他们当地的足球联赛或者杯赛，也会到当地的野球场上感受下他们的足球氛围，然后将这些见闻用Vlog或者随笔记录下来”。
Sherk还说：“这一路的确很辛苦，我也经历过一些崩溃的瞬间。 在伊朗骑行的路上，我遇到过阿根廷的球迷，他们三五个人计划从欧洲骑行到卡塔尔，我们还约定在卡塔尔见面为阿根廷队加油喝彩。 可这一路上从没遇到像我这样一个人出来的，所以我最奔溃的就是在异国他乡这种孤独感。 但第二天我整理好自己的心情，又继续背上包继续前行。”
