曾抨击中国政府用公款养共产党员的前贵州大学教授杨绍政，在被警方以涉嫌“煽动颠覆国家政权罪”指定居所监视居住5个月零10天后，已经被检察院批准逮捕，所涉罪名不详。
据中国民生观察网11月11日报道，检察院在10月28日已经正式批准逮捕杨绍政，目前杨绍政被关押在贵州省贵阳市乌当区三江农场第一看守所。
10月18日，贵州当地国家安全部门曾威胁杨绍政的妻子，杨绍政不配合就要重判。家属质疑，这“煽动颠覆国家政权罪”是不配合构成的吗？
杨绍政曾多次在网络上发表批评中国政府的言论。2017年11月，杨绍政披露中国政府用“公款养党”，每年耗费金额高达20万亿元人民币，杨其后被贵州大学停止授课，再于2018年8月被学校开除。
2019年“六四”30周年之际，杨绍政曾在微信群公布1989六四事件学生死亡人数，遭到警方传唤和审问。美国人权活动人士曹雅学当时在推特上发文透露，6月4日早上7点半左右，贵州大学前教授杨绍政，被贵州省政法委、网信办、以及多名国保强制传唤到花溪区公安局办案中心，他被要求脱光衣服，穿他们提供的衣服，还被尿检，抽血，采集十指指纹，随后被戴上手铐脚镣，固定在审讯椅上，接受讯问长达8个多小时。
此后，杨绍政长期被警方骚扰，包括在2020年疫情期间。
2021年5月18日，“六四”32周年前夕，杨绍政在装修自家房屋期间忽然与亲人失去联系。在杨绍政失踪20多天后，才有消息指杨被警方以涉嫌“煽动颠覆国家政权罪”指定居所监视居住，但被监视居住的地点不详。
公开资料显示，杨绍政，生于1969年，四川巴中人，西南财经大学经济学博士，师从中国老一辈经济学家胡代光教授。杨绍政曾任贵州大学经济学院教授、硕士生导师和贵州大学高等教育评估与研究专家。
杨绍政从事《博弈论》、《高级微观经济学》等与优化理论和机制设计理论相关的教学和研究工作。在《经济学动态》、《经济学家》、《经济学消息报》、《经济体制改革》、《贵州社会科学》、《社会主义研究》等刊物发表文章20多篇，其中两篇被人大复印资料全文转载，多篇被国研网、经济研究资料等全文或部份转载。
