BREAKING: ALBO CAUGHT IN $6M GOLF CLUB LIE – Professor Torches Labor’s “Grey Corruption”
Anthony Albanese went to the election promising “integrity,” but his government has just been hit with a massive “grey corruption” scandal, and the details are damning.
Australia’s most prominent constitutional law scholar, University of Sydney Professor Emerita Anne Twomey, just absolutely torched the Albanese government in a searing parliamentary submission.
Her verdict? The government’s grants scheme is a “farce” deliberately designed to disguise political patronage and the grant of favours using your taxpayer dollars.
Look at the blatant hypocrisy on display:
Albanese promised a cool $6 million of public money to his own local golf club (Marrickville Golf Club) during the 2025 election.
He failed to declare he held an honorary membership there. When caught out, Albo claimed he had no idea and hadn’t been to the clubhouse “for many, many years”
The Australian exposed this immediately, unearthing video footage of Albanese at the club in 2019 explicitly stating: “I declare an interest, I have been coming here for decades and using this club”
Twomey didn’t hold back, stating: “No, this is not about ‘being a good local Member’. It is about indulging in grey corruption and the misuse of public money at the public’s expense”
She even noted that the scheme’s earlier design was outright constitutionally invalid, mockingly suggesting that if these federal politicians want to obsess over local swimming pools and golf courses, they should quit and run for local council instead.
Even worse for Labor? Twomey weaponised past research by Labor’s own Assistant Minister, Andrew Leigh, to prove that this type of pork barrelling actively destroys public trust and wastes state resources.
Labor weaponised “sports rorts” to win government, only to turn around and build a system of faux integrityto fund Albo’s weekend golf hangs.
Australians are struggling through a cost
of living crisis, yet millions are being funneled into the PM’s backyard under a broken, corrupt system.Absolute disgrace.
He must resign.
