在澳洲海外出生人口最多的国家排名中，印度以微弱优势超越英国，跃居首位。

澳洲统计局（ABS）最新数据显示，印度出生的居民人数已达971,020人，在880万海外出生人口中占有重要比例；而英国出生的人口为970,950人。

澳洲统计局指出，去年澳洲人口的出生地几乎涵盖全球各国。

在2015年至2025年的十年间，印度出生人口的增长幅度最大，增加超过50万人。

同一时期的数据显示，印度、中国、菲律宾和尼泊尔位列出生地前四名，这四国合计人口增长超过100万人。
