周四（10月15日），美国民主党总统候选人拜登竞选办公室对外称，目前与竞选活动相关的3名人士确诊COVID-19，包含哈里斯的媒体主任，虽然最近没有和候选人接触，但是为了保险目前竞选活动暂停到19日。 据中央社报导，10月15日，民主党总统候选人拜登（Joe Biden）竞选办公室发新闻稿称，14日晚间得知3名与拜登竞选相关的人士确诊COVID-19，包含非竞选团队成员的一名机组人员，及拜登副手哈里斯（Kamala Harris）媒体主任艾伦（Liz Allen）和一名职员。 竞选办公室指出，3名人士确诊前48小时，与拜登、哈里斯及其他团队成员都无接触。 竞选办公室还称，3名确诊人士8日与哈里斯搭乘同班飞机，当时所有人全程配戴N95口罩；哈里斯与3人距离6呎（约183公分）内时间不超过15分钟，没有不符合美国疾病管制暨预防中心（CDC）近距离接触定义。3名确诊人士搭机前后筛检都为阴性。 Not only was the individual 50+ feet away and wearing a mask, but I was wearing an N-95 mask.
